Space Macs:
"Shelter in Space"
The sixth studio release from improvised, experimental, instrumental rock band Space Macs explores the themes of loneliness and isolation all-too-familiar since the beginning of our global pandemic, imagining the same quarantine conditions imposed in space. Produced and mixed by Matt Coggins.

In 2015, I began an experimental, improvised "space rock" project with some members of Earl Grey; since then we have not only explored different styles and techniques , but different sounds and concepts behind the final recorded product. Space Macs represents some of my most expressive production and design.

Earl Grey
Beginning in 2008, I worked with close friends in the alternative rock group Earl Grey, where I served as the vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and keyboardist, as well as the chief songwriter, lyricist, and manager. The band was inspired by artists such as Modest Mouse, Man Man, and Neil Young; we combined an eccentric style of music with an exciting and energetic stage show.

After performing live around Michigan for almost 7 years, I undertook a do-it-yourself recording and project for Earl Grey's first and only full-length album, "When People Assume the Importance of Their Lives," which was released in May 2016.

Arctic Sounds
Arctic Sounds was a DIY radio show and podcast that focused on playing up-and-coming Michigan music and profiling a live, local band every week. It ran on WKUF 94.3FM from 2012-2014 and as a podcast in 2015. I produced every episode, some with Aaron Kolb and Tyler Rigdon.
