

Theatre
ACTING
Matt has spent most of his life acting. His favorite roles include Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz, Milt in Laughter on the 23rd Floor, and Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors.
His passions are in broad, physical comedy, but he has also worked in musicals, dramas, and improvisational pieces. He has considerable experience in devised theatre, puppetry, and the style of Commedia dell'Arte.
Matt was nominated for the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship through the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival for his roles in The Underpants, Little Shop of Horrors, and The Ash Girl.

Tech
Matt is also an experienced technician behind the scenes, working in many different capacities in his time in theatre. Primarily this experience has been as audio crew and engineering, working professionally with The Acting Company, Journey Church, and the Westside Theatre (NYC), Musical Theatre Heritage (Kansas City), Flint Youth Theatre, Meadowbrook Theatre, and the Flint Local 432 (Michigan).

Matt was also a part of the theatre technical staff at the University of Michigan-Flint, where he worked on the events crew and in the scene shop. Skills include welding, carpentry, soldering, stage management, rigging, flies, makeup application, and house/box office management.
