News Satire, 2019-21

Faux News is a news and politics podcast that combines satire, sketch, and sound-effect laden discourse into the perfect blend of comedy and tragedy. The podcast covered current events and the culture war from the end of 2019, through the pandemic, and into the 2020 election.

Originally the show began as an improvised parody of conservative talk shows such as Fox and Friends (Episodes 1-10) before transitioning into the straightforward conversation and scripted sketch format.

News Satire, 2016-18

Let Me Be Clear was my first take on a Weekend Update / Daily Show type podcast, "hosted" by a Bernie Sanders caricature and featuring a rotating cast of zany side characters such as the hipster producer, a Russian-hacked robot engineer, and an over-the-top frat bro cohost.

The fully scripted comedy podcast chronicled the 2016 primaries and general election through the early days of the Trump presidency. There were regular breaks from the format for genre parody and surrealism.

Comedy/Debate, 2017-19

List-O-Mania and I Hate That Thing You Like, both co-hosted with Paul Docter and Austin Meyer, presented every day topics in the form of fierce and irreverent debate. One series chronicled the top five list of any given topic, from food to pop culture to politics; the other would have us giving an alternative take on whatever society loves.

Each show was presented with a laid-back attitude, a healthy amount of sound-board effect play, and plenty of burps.

Music, 2012-15

Arctic Sounds was a DIY radio show and podcast that focused on playing up-and-coming Michigan music and profiling a live, local band every week. It ran on WKUF 94.3FM from 2012-2014 and as a podcast in 2015.

I produced and hosted every episode and did the final mix with occasional assistance by Aaron Kolb and Tyler Rigdon.

Episode archive is a work in progress.
